Volunteer Opportunity: Stonebridge at Montgomery
If you're looking for a fun volunteer opportunity, consider Stonebridge at Montgomery!
Stonebridge is a local independent and assisted living facility, conveniently located at Hollinshead Spring Road in Skillman. Very few kids volunteer at Stonebridge, and the elderly residents LOVE to have younger people visit! Hours and days are flexible, and YOU get to choose what you'd like to do as a volunteer – the residents enjoy all kinds of activities and visitors!
Gianna Schembari, a senior at MHS and Ambassador Girl Scout from Troop 61027, says: "As a Girl Scout, I have been doing community service hours since I was 7 years old and in 2nd grade. I love to help the community. It has been a lot of fun and I have learned so much! I have logged all my hours over the years, and many of my hours have been with the elderly and in nursing homes. Stonebridge has been one of my favorite places to volunteer at."
Stonebridge will keep a sign-in log of your volunteer hours and a copy will be available to you upon request, which can be helpful when applying to college!
