For the powerpoint presentation, please click hereWe have also prepared a Freshmen Guidebook with freshmen course offerings from the Program of Studies and additional information to help the transition to high school._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Counseling and College Series Events:The Counseling Office provides several programs throughout the year that guide and assist both parents and students through the college admission process...(if you are looking for District Counseling presentations, such as the new Parent Education Series, please access it by clicking here.)________________________________________________________________There will be a College Series presentation for parents of seniors about the college application process on September 25th at 7pm in the MPAC. Prior to the presentation the MHS counselors will be meeting with seniors in their English classes to share this information.
On October 10th at 7pm the MHS Counseling/Guidance department will host "The Admission Game: An Interactive Presentation of the College Admission Process" featuring Peter Buskirk, author, motivational speaker, and former dean of admission. This presentation will take place in the MPAC and is geared for students. Of course, parents are welcome to attend!
_________________________________________________________________________On Saturday, September 23rd the Counseling/Guidance Department will host a Practice SAT/ACT for Montgomery HS students. The test will begin at 4pm and takes approximately 4 hours. Please see the attached flier for more information and the link for registration. SAT Prep Classes After SchoolFree SAT Prep classes are offered after school at MHS for both Math and VerbalStarting the week of September 18, 2017, classes will once again be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15-3:45pm. Students only need to attend one session per week and are encouraged to attend the math and verbal sessions that meet during the same times.Verbal prep in room B1127 and Math prep in room B2232.Thanks for visiting our updated website.
