Mr. Paul Popadiuk, Principal
After spending the first 4 years of his teaching career at Somerville, Mr. Popadiuk arrived in Montgomery as a history and psychology teacher in 1996. During his teaching tenure, he enjoyed coaching football, basketball and softball, serving as a class advisor,and working with so many great students and families. Mr. Popadiuk moved into administration after 10 years in the classroom, serving three and a half years as a vice principal, and then accepting the challenge of principal in January of 2010. Mr. Popadiuk has always been very involved in the lives of his students, stressing the need to develop the whole child. He is extremely passionate about developing the Social and Emotional Skills of students, as well as developing the capacity of teacher learning teams, which are two of the major initiatives at Montgomery High School. Educationally, Mr. Popadiuk graduated from The Pennsylvania State University and earned a Masters Degree from Seton Hall University. On a personal level, Mr. Popadiuk is married to a 5th grade teacher, Karen, and they have two sons, Matthew and Luke.Mr. Scott Pachuta, Vice Principal
After graduating from the University of Scranton with his degree in education, Mr. Pachuta entered into the Bridgewater Raritan School district teaching at the intermediate level for over eight years. While at Bridgewater, Mr. Pachuta served as a teacher mentor, PTO teacher liaison, club advisor, and AchieveNJ representative. He is passionate about education and firmly believes in the importance of Social and Emotional Learning. In 2012, Mr. Pachuta earned the Governor’s Teacher of the Year award along with his Masters in Educational Leadership. Outside of MHS, Mr. Pachuta loves spending time with his wife, Krista, his son, Nolan, and his daughter, Bailey.Mrs. Heather Pino-Beattie, Vice Principal
Heather Pino-Beattie received her Master’s Degree in School Counseling and SAC (Substance Awareness Coordinator) Certification from The College of New Jersey and her Certification in School Administration from The University of Scranton. Prior to joining the staff at Montgomery High School as a School Counselor in 2009, Mrs. Pino worked for the Trenton Public School District as a K-12 Literacy Specialist and at Trenton Central High School as an English teacher. During her time at TCHS, Mrs. Pino enjoyed taking on many roles, but found her time as a coach and club advisor to be most rewarding. Mrs. Pino also completed her undergraduate work at The College of New Jersey, where she earned a B.A. in English and Secondary Education and enjoyed playing Rugby in her free time. Outside of MHS, Mrs. Pino enjoys spending time with her wife, Angela, her sons, Benjamin and Jacob, her labradoodle, Mostly Good Molly, and her family and friends.
