  • Simply increasing the number of devices in a school building does not predict or promote student success.  There are many published case studies about the successes and pitfalls of 1:1 initiative and BYOD programs.  One common element which increased a school's successful implementation was a vision for the program.  Over the past three years the instructional technology department has been laying a foundation of tools and staff training to position us for a smooth transition.
     
    As with every topic in education, there is a broad scope of research and opinions.  It is the goal of the Montgomery BYOD program to build both digital literacy and digital wisdom within our students.
