In 2009, President Barak Obama signed "The Native American Heritage Day Resolution" which named the Friday after Thanksgiving as "Native American Heritage Day".  This resolution encourages all American to explore the culture and contribution of Native Americans through appropriate ceremonies and cultural activities.  Additionally, schools are encouraged to focus our instruction on their history, achievements, and contributions.  Native Hope is one organization which seek to eliminate barriers which prohibit Native American from achieving the hopes and dreams.  Please explore the history and resources shared by Native Hope on the celebration of "Native American Heritage Day".
