      Schools will be closed from Friday, May 23rd through Tuesday, May 27th. Schools will reopen on Wednesday, May 28th. The 28th will be a B-Day for MHS, UMS, and LMS students and Day 6 for VES and OHES students.

      Please join Mrs. Mary E. McLoughlin and Mr. Cory Delgado for the second Superintendent Roundtable on Tuesday, June 3rd from 6 - 7 PM. In-person and virtual seats are available for this roundtable. You must register to attend (either in-person or virtually) by Friday, May 30th.

      The annual District Art Extravaganza is almost here! You'll have three chances to visit our art gallery at Montgomery High School: Thursday 5/29 (6 PM - 8 PM), Friday 5/30 (6 PM - 8 PM), and Saturday 5/31 (1 PM - 3 PM).
    • 2025-26 Kindergarten Registration 
      If you missed the Kindergarten Open Registration period in February for the 2025-26 school year, register now by clicking above to access the ONLINE registration process. We ask that families register ASAP so that we can properly plan for September. Thank you!

    • MTEA Virtual Family Read Aloud - Wednesday, June 4th New text bubble
      The Montgomery Township Education Association invites OHES and VES students, along with their parents, to attend our next virtual read-aloud. We will be reading "Tani's New Home: A Refugee Finds Hope and Kindness in America" by Tanitoluwa Adewumi on Wednesday, June 4th. Each family will receive a copy of the book delivered to their child's classroom after the event. 
    • Kindergarten Orientation - Friday, May 30th
      Greetings incoming Kindergarten families! We would like to invite you to join us for our annual Kindergarten Orientation. Families of students with a last name that begins with the letters A-L will attend from 10 AM - 11 AM. Families of students with a last name that begins with the letters M-Z will attend from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Up to 2 parents are permitted to attend.

    • 3rd Grade Parent Orientation - Wednesday, June 4th
      Village Elementary School will be hosting a 3rd Grade Parent Orientation on Wednesday, June 4th from 6 PM - 7 PM. A session for parents of students eligible for special education who will be entering third grade in September will also be held from 5 PM - 5:30 PM.

    • Instrumental Music Program and Tryouts New text bubble
      All 3rd grade students were recently introduced to the musical instruments that they will have an opportunity to play next school year. If your child is interested in playing an instrument, please fill in the registration form and have your child return it to their homeroom teacher by Thursday, May 29th. A copy of the form was sent to your email and sent home via backpack mail.

    • A Message from the VES Health and Physical Education Team
      On Friday, May 30th, VES fourth graders will be viewing a 15-minute video regarding puberty during their Health class. Students will be separated based on sex assigned at birth. Female students will watch a video with Mrs. Tanzola and Mrs. Morris, and male students will watch a video with Mr. Sullivan. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these videos, please feel free to contact your child's Health/PE teacher.

      The newest edition of the township's eBulletin is available to view.
    • Environmental Education Center Summer Programs New text bubble
      The Environmental Education Center (EEC) located in Basking Ridge offers programs for all ages throughout the summer. These programs include summer camps, paddling, and guided hikes! The EEC building is open daily 9 AM -5 PM (or Sunday-Friday in July & August) with many indoor exhibits and outdoor trails ready for your exploration.
    • Somerset County Park Commission: Camp Curiosity
      Space is the place! Have fun and make new friends at the Somerset County Park Commission's Camp Curiosity. This summer day program is for children with learning disabilities, Asperger's syndrome, high-functioning autism, or a mild intellectual disability. During the program, attendees will make their own solar oven, make astronaut ice cream, play fun space-themed games, make and launch their own rockets, take a trip to Monster Mini Golf, and more!
    • Montgomery Township Rec-N-Crew Summer Camp
      Registration is open for Montgomery Township's Rec-N-Crew Summer Camp! The camp, which is open to children entering grades 1-6 in the fall of 2025, will be filled with multiple guest entertainers, themed weeks, arts, crafts, and fun games. You can sign up by sessions or for all 6 weeks.
    • You Can Join 4-H Clubs 
      Attention children in grades K-12: You can join Somerset County 4-H! Clubs meet year-round from September until August when members showcase their accomplishments at the Somerset County 4-H Fair (August 6–8, 2025). Of the 65+ clubs offered, many have space available.
