New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Assessment Resources

  • The NJSLA is a computer-based assessment aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. It’s designed to determine a student’s ability to think critically, solve problems, and use information from what they read and write to develop written responses and solve mathematical problems. Additionally, students in grades 5, 8, and 11 participate in the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment for Science (NJSLA-Science). This is a state-mandated assessment. Please see below for additional resources regarding the NJSLA assessment.
