What a beautiful day for a parade! Thank you to our fabulous room parents for hosting a fun and memorable Halloween party! 

This month, in reading workshop, we will  learn to recognize poet's tools: line breaks, white space, comparisons, personification, voice and how these tools help readers to understand the meaning of the poem. Next, we will learn to add text evidence to support our thinking as we jot our thoughts when reading poems.

In writing workshop, the children will learn to include the poet's tools into their poems: similes, metaphors, personification, precise action words, voice, and more. In addition, we will work with a partner to edit our poems.

In Science, we have  begun our first science unit, Materials and their Properties.

Parent Teacher Conferences: 

Parent Teacher Conferences- November 21, November 25-26

The window for families to sign up for conferences will be November 4-15. Conferences are virtual or in person.
