I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and  your child shared their very own Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon!

In reading and writing workshop, we are reading and experimenting with the different structures of poetry: shape poems, list poems, acrostic poems, and haikus. Finally,we will wrap up our poetry unit by choosing poems to publish,edit and celebrate!  Be on the lookout for a published class anthology of our poems!

In math we have begun Unit 3, Addition and Subtraction Within One Hundred. Click to read:

Math at Home Set 3  for practice of the concepts taught in this unit.

In Science, we have completed our Materials and Properties Unit. We will begin our Economic Unit, Wants and Needs. We will wrap up December by studying Holidays Around the World.

Reminder: if you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday by reading a book to the class, let me know!
